Teacher strips girl student by force, takes photos
Lucknow, Nov 4 : A teacher of a private school in an Uttar Pradesh village has been accused of forcibly stripping a 10-year-old girl student and photographing her on his mobile phone, police said Wednesday.
Rajesh Shukla Tuesday allegedly molested the Class 5 student of Swamy Harihar School in Mahmoodpur village of Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district, some 250 km from Lucknow. He was absconding.
"We are carrying out raids to nab Shukla. We have detained the managerial staff of the school to know the whereabouts of the teacher," police Inspector F.A. Pundir told reporters in Kannauj.
According to police, the girl's father Ram Singh Chauhan, a resident of the Saurikh village in Mahmoodpur, registered the compliant against the teacher Tuesday night.
In the complaint, Chauhan alleged that Shukla on the pretext of discussing the syllabus called the girl to a vacant classroom and molested her. The teacher also threatened the girl of dire consequences if she told anybody about the incident.
School manager Harihar Baba told reporters: "Strict action would be taken against the teacher. Other teachers in the school have recommended termination of Shukla's services."
In the wake of the incident, several parents Wednesday morning demonstrated in front of the school, demanding arrest of the teacher. Some of the angry parents even barged inside the manager's office, where they assaulted staff members.
