Youth arrested, US-made pistol seized

Agartala, Nov 4 : The city police arrested an 18-year-old boy and seized a US-made pistol from his possession last night near Agartala Government Medical College while another fled in the dark.

Police said the local inhabitants detained one Bishnu Das (18) of Sadar North in bordering Bangladesh area when he was suspiciously moving with another person on a numberless motorbike.

Reportedly, Bishnu Das took out a 9mm pistol and aimed it at the local people when he was challenged. In the meantime, the other person who was accompanying him fled.

Bishnu was handed over to police with a 9mm pistol and five rounds of ammunition, police said, adding he was being interrogated.
