Gandhidham Exp derails; 12 injured

Mumbai, Nov 4 : At least 12 people were injured when the Ahmedabad-Bangalore Gandhidham Express derailed between Thane and Dombivli stations here late last night, railway sources said.

The derailment occurred at around 0100 hrs on the Diva Vasai road section. The injured were admitted to a hospital at Kalyan, the sources said.

Top railway officials have reached the spot to restore traffic in other long distance routes.

Three bogies of the train were severely damaged. However, normal suburban services were not affected due to the accident, the sources added.
