Travel Expo in City of Palaces from January 18
Mysore, Nov 3 : A two-day National level travel expo called 'Mysore Travels Mart' will be held in the City of Palaces under the joint auspices of Mysore Travel Agents Association and Department of Tourism from January 18.
Speaking to newsmen Association President Shanthinath said the expo is being organised with a view to promote tourism in Mysore.
Different stalls would be opened in the expo which provides information on local tourism and tourism of neighbouring districts.
Industrialists of the country and abroad engaged in tourism, airlines, resorts and hotels have been invited to participate in the expo.
There will be 65 stalls in the expo. These stalls will provide information on places of tourist interest in different States.
Participants could take benefit of the expo by interacting with people from other States and countries.
The publicity from the expo would help in the development of tourism in the city as well as ensure revenue for the State's exchequer. Besides, it would also provide job opportunities for students who were studying Tourism as an optional subject.
The expo includes introduction to heritage structures of city, environment tourism, health tourism and yoga tourism. Experts in these fields would be invited to deliver special lectures.
