GJ to organise varsities tennis in Hisar in January
Chandigarh, Nov 3 : Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar will organise Inter-Zonal Inter-University Tennis (Men) and North Zone Inter-University Tennis (Men) Championships on the newly constructed synthetic tennis courts in January next year.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Devinder Dayal Singh Sandhu said these championships would be held for the first time in the university and one more lawn tennis court would be made ready before the Championships.
Prof RS Jaglan, Registrar of the University said North Zone Inter-University Tennis (Men) would be organised from January 7-14 next year and Inter Zonal Inter-University Tennis (Men) Championship would be organised from January 20-27.
Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi had nominated Prof Rajinder Singh, Jivaji University, Gwalior, as observer for both the championships.
Prof Nawal Kishore has been appointed as Chairman of the Organizing Committee. Dr Neeraj Dibaghi will be the Tournament Director for the Championships. Mr Shashi Luthra will act as organising secretary.
