Andhra Pradesh wins toss
Kannur, Nov 3 : Andhra won the toss and elected to bat in the plate league Ranji match, which was inaugurated at Tellichery cricket stadium, here today.
The team: Andhra: B Sumanth (cap), L N Prasad Reddy (vice cap), H Vattekar, V Manoj Sai (wk), Y Venugopal Rao, A S K Varma, G V S Prasad, G Shankar Rao, K Shabudheen, D Kalyan Krishna and T Achuth Rao, (12 th man D Swaroop Kumar).
Thalassery was hosting the 18th Ranji matches after a gap of 11 years. A total of 47 matches were played between Kerala and Andhra. Both of them won 11 matches and remaning ended in draw.
Meanwhile, Kerala won 8 matches against Andhra in their home ground. This was the only home ground match for Kerala and the remaining matches would be held in Indore against Madhya Pradesh on November 10, against Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu on November 17, against Sourashtra in Delhi on December one and against Haryana on December eight.
