Tarang Software expanding India operations

Bangalore, Nov 2 : Leading e-payment solutions provider Tarang Software Technologies is expanding its operations in the country to serve its growing list of customers across verticals, the city-based company said Monday.

"We are setting up a 250-seater second development centre here to meet our growth requirements. Our new customer wins include Frese International, Global Refund, Hypercom, ING Vysya, Volvo and Teligence Communications," the company said in a statement.

Tarang also resumed hiring and added 100 employees in October, including 15 Spanish nationals to work at its Spanish call centre, taking its headcount to 380 by October-end.

The second facility will have centre of excellence for smart cards, contactless payments and a soft skills e-learning library to enhance e-learning and business process outsourcing (BPO) services to its clients.

The company's first development centre was set up in 2001.

"Our domain specialisation and strategic thrust into new markets helped us to acquire clients in Canada, Europe and India," Tarang chief executive V. Rama Kumar said.

The decade-old company recently launched the "Mobile Wallet", the mobile version of its accounts aggregation solution "Account Wallet".

Its online market research product "Way Finder" has been well received in the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) segment.

Tarang's client base is spread across Belgium, Britain, Italy and Sweden in Europe, and Canada and the US in North America apart from India.
