No scope for large industry in Kerala: Antony
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 1 : Stating there was no scope for large industries in Kerala, Defence Minister A K Antony today suggested the state government give more thrust to small-scale industrial units.
Addressing a public function, organised by the Congress in connection with the final leg of the Janasree Mission Yatra led by Mr M M Hassan, he said the UDF stand was to give equal consideration both to the LDF-sponsored Kudumbasree and the Congress-led Janasree Missions.
Mr Antony said irrespective of all differences, political parties should support developmental activities in the state.
Suggesting all voluntary organisations work together for comprehensive development of the state, he said each village could become the centre of small scale industries.
Instead of changing development policies with every change of each administration, a permanent development policy was required for the state, he added.
