ATTU- big budget flick with newcomers

Looks like filmmakers in Tamil film industry have been vividly inspired from those directors of Bollywood, who ardently make films based in Mumbai.

Well, before few years, we had Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Chennai 600028’ centered on South Chennai and ‘Madhya Chennai’ (based on Central Chennai) is ready to hit the screens shortly. And now, here comes ‘ATTU’ a film set in backdrops of North Chennai.

ATTU is usually addressed to call a youth, who cannot be controlled by any powers. The film has newcomers in lead roles and is produced by M V Praveen and R Manimaran of Ants Works Limited.

Steven, an ad filmmaker and numerous short films makes his debut directorial with this flick. Vetrivel, once an associate of Mahesh Muthuswamy (Chitthiram Pesudhadi, Anjathey, Nandhalala and various Hindi films) cranks the camera.

Bobo Sasi will tune melodies to the lyrics of Na. Muthukumar and Thamarai. Others in the crew are: JPK Prem (Art), LVK Das (Editing), Power Pandian (Stunts) and Suresh (Production Executive).

At present, the lead actors have been involved in training workshop and the film will hit the floors shortly by November.
