'Aayirathil Oruvan' for Republic Day

Earlier, it was reported that Selvaraghavan's magnum opus 'Aayirathil Oruvan' is sure to hit screens for Christmas.

But again, the inner sources from film’s crew have revealed that the release will further get postponed to January.

‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ is produced by R. Ravendran of Dream Valley Entertainment with Karthi, Andrea, Reema Sen and Parthiban in lead roles. The reports have furthermore stated that it will take nearly a couple of months to complete the post productions works: editing, sound recording and grading.

Until now, none of the TV channels have come forward to acquire the satellite rights due to big price tags. As well, buzzes are that distributors are unwillingly backing off as Ravendran has quoted big amount that may not benefit them with desired results.

As Pongal is expected to have big releases like Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’, Ajith Kumar starrer ‘ASAL’, producer Ravendran may have to get this released on Jan 22, 2010 as it would be a long weekend as Republic Day falls on Jan 26.
