Businessman shot dead in Gujarat

Surat, Oct 18 : A middle-aged businessman was shot dead at point-blank range allegedly by two unidentified assailants at his office 'White House' in Kailashnagar area of the city today over financial matter.

According to police, the attackers came to Gautam Shah's office this morning on a motorbike and fired several rounds at him from a close range to kill him on the spot.

However, the local people chased to the criminals and caught one of them, while they were trying to flee from the scene.

Police said preliminary investigation found that Mr Shah, who was dealing with interiors of the cars, was killed over some money matter.

His body was sent for the post-mortem and further investigations are on, sources added.
