LEEUWARDEN, NETHERLANDS: A 35-year-old Dutch pimp is facing a jail sentence after two teenage girls decided to take an internship as prostitutes, local media reported on Wednesday.

The 14-year-old and 15-year-old girls of Leeuwarden, a city in the northern Netherlands, had been told by their school to take a social internship, according to the Leeuwarder Courant newspaper. The girls then went to a local red light district to try work as a prostitute.

The paper reported that a 35-year-old pimp had sex with the girls to, a judge said, to prepare them for their profession. The prosecutor's office has advised the judge to sentence him to four years in prison.

In an interview with the newspaper, the girls described their decision as 'stupid'. (BNO News)
