India, Bahrain committed to expanding bilateral ties

Manama, Dec. 9 : India and Bahrain have said they are committed to further expanding bilateral ties and look forward to work together in new areas of trade, investment and cooperation.

External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, who is on a visit to that country, has met the Bahrain leadership and discussed both bilateral and regional issues.

He also met the King and Prime Minister of Bahrain.

During his visit, Khurshid laid the foundation stone of new Indian Embassy building in Manama.

He thanked Bahrain Government for its support to the expatriate Indian community in the country.
