Toll plaza attack: Nitesh Rane gets bail

Panaji, Dec 4 : A local court on Wednesday granted bail to Maharashtra Industries Minister and Congress leader Narayan Rane's son Nitesh Rane, who was detained on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting staff at a toll plaza in Goa.

According to reports, Nitesh is likely to stay in Goa till Thursday.

Nitesh and his eight supporters allegedly attacked three workers and vandalised a toll booth on the Mumbai-Goa highway after his car was stopped at the toll plaza and he was asked to pay a tax of Rs 250.

A complaint was lodged at the Pernem police station following which the police tracked Nitesh and his aides and detained them.

They were kept at the Pernem police station.
