Top Kolkata hospitals on CGHS blacklist

Kolkata, Dec 2 : The Union Health Ministry has blacklisted three private hospitals of Kolkata from the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) for allegedly not adhering to the requirements.

The three hospitals Advanced Medicare Research Institute (AMRI), B.P. Poddar Hospital and Ruby General Hospital have been debarred from the facilities of CGHS.

"The three hospitals are not treating the patients properly and refusing to give CGHS facilities to the CGHS card holders, so, we have to take this step." a CGHS officer said.

The authorities of the hospitals however denied any wrongdoing and said that they had broken up from the Central government's CGHS programme a while ago.
