Agnimitra Paul launches 'Agni' collection

Kolkata, Nov 29 : Popular fashion designer Agnimitra Paul unveiled her latest range of collections at her newly launched showroom 'Agni' in the presence of Tollywood actress Rituparna Sengupta here on Thursday.

The collection has a wide mix of khadi, cotton, silk, organza, crepe that includes tunics, sarees, lehengas, dupattas, churidars, skirts, party wears as well as bridal outfits for the women section, whereas the men's section highlights shirts, pathan suits, dhotis, kurtas, Jodhpuri pants, Jodhpuri Nehru jackets and many more.

Paul said, "Agni is for the masses, highly affordable, where I have worked with more cuts and less embroidery work this time. Basically it is an amalgamation of different kinds of silhouettes."

She added, "And to make a mention the collection is not blingy. We are planning to spread out Agni nationally as franchised stores in different places like Indore, Pune, Jabalpur, and Jaipur."

The fashion designer further suggested the various drifts for fashion lovers in the collections and highlighted more on neon coloured loose trousers (palazzo) that are stylishly and intelligently mixed and matched with collared shirts.

Rituparna said, "We are trying out new styles in our new venture, 'Ramdhonu' to build a new look entirely."

"She is an extremely brilliant mixer and match maker of western, Indo- western, traditional and absolutely modern outfits. She has added an interesting touch of a traditional thing everywhere," she added.

The actress noted, "So, Agni is just the reflection of our archetypal designer, a founder of newness."
