On Nov 24, addressing an election rally at Kota city of Rajasthan, Modi said Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi prefers to go to the homes of poor across India with media and cameramen in tow but near his residence, which falls in the constituency of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit there is a Jhuggi with poor sanitation facilities.
"They see the poor only where there are camerapersons but not the poor in their vicinity," said Modi.
Reacting to United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi's statement likening the BJP to poison, Modi stated, "Why is it that they remember poison when they are in Rajasthan?"
Reminding the people of the 'power is poison' statement earlier this year, Modi further said, "Who has been in power for the longest duration? Who has tasted poison the most? So who can spread the poison? It is the Congress Party!"
