Anna to launch indefinite fast from Dec 10

Ralegan Siddhi, Maharashtra, Nov 28 : Social activist Anna Hazare will once again launch an indefinite hunger strike for a strong Lokpal Bill, at Yadavbaba temple in Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra from Dec 10.


The Gandhian has announced the strike to express his displeasure over the Centre's failure to introduce an anti-corruption law.

Hazare said he had written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on this issue, and has received a reply from the Minister of Prime Minister's Office (PMO) V. Narayanasamy.

The letter, according to Hazare, mentioned the steps taken by the government to introduce the Lokpal Bill in Parliament.

The anti-graft Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, but is yet to be passed by the Rajya Sabha.
