Kolkata to host 4th Agro Protech 2013

Kolkata, Nov 26 : : The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in association with Ministry of Agriculture and Food Processing, Government of India and Government of West Bengal is organizing the 4th Agro Protech 2013 - a 3-day mega event, from Nov 28 to Nov 30 at Milan Mela Ground and ITC Sonar here.

The highlights of the mega event will be a three- day conference and exhibition and two- day farmers meet.

The summit and Expo will be attended by international experts, academicians, policy makers, corporate houses, agri-scientists, bankers, members from the farming community and others.

The objective of the initiative is aimed at determining avenues for the investors and policy makers to take proactive measures to meet the food security challenges and also devise plans and policies aimed at reinforcing India's global strengths.

The summit will focus on various areas of Agriculture Inputs and Farm Equipments, Horticulture and Floriculture, Processed Food, Packaging and Supply Chain, Dairy, Poultry, Fishery and Animal Husbandry, Banking, Export Linkages and Commodity Market among others.

The 4th Agroprotech 2013 has the support of various state governments with Maharashtra being the principal partner state.

The three- day exhibition and conference will have international participation with an 18 member delegation from Pakistan.

The delegation from Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) will be visiting for the first time to seek and explore investment opportunities and also promote their agricultural and poultry produce.

The delegation will be led by Abdul Basit of Big Feed (PVT) Ltd & Former Senior Vice President of LCCI.

There will be representatives from well known companies like Anis Associates (Pvt) Ltd, ICEPAC Limited, Mazco Industries (Pvt.) Ltd, M.S Industries, Crown Star Agro Chemicals, Waqas Cold Storage, Qamar Traders, Zaidi Brother, Naya Sawera (Pesticides and Commission Agent), Sherazi Farms and Ajwa Industry.

The event will have partner country participation from The Kingdom of Netherlands and Government of South Africa.

The event will also have presence of International experts from Israel and New Zealand.
