Basant Monanty's fiery bowling put Odisha virtually in control of the play as they bowled out six Jharkhand wickets within 149 runs on Saturday at end of Day 3 in the second innings after scoring 307 all out in the first innings.

Odisha resumed the day with 245/5 could add only 62 runs in remaining five wickets as right arm pacer Ajay Yadav broke the middle order taking five wickets in 61 runs. Captain Biplab Samantray, who was not out 64, could add only three runs.
