Mumbai: Fire at slum, construction site

Mumbai, Nov 21 : Several shanties were reportedly gutted when a major fire broke out at a slum behind the World Trade Centre at Cuffe Parade in Mumbai on Thursday morning.

However, no injuries were reported in the fire at Ambedkarnagar slum.

At least 16 fire engines rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

In a separate incident, another fire broke out at a construction site in Wadala around 10 am on Thursday.

The site belonged to real estate developer Lodha Group.

No one was injured in the incident.

As many as 10 fire engines were sent to control the fire.

Cause of the fire in both the cases is still unknown.
