Kolkata, Nov.20 : In a bid to attract tourists, authorities are planning to use colourful illumination to beautify major heritage buildings in Kolkata, including the famous Victoria Memorial.

The state tourism department has identified four heritage buildings - the Victoria Memorial Hall, Nakhoda Masjid, St Paul's Church, and the Town Hall - for this.

The beautification drive will see authorities using musical LED lights and sound and light shows depicting historical events at these famous places to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of these buildings.
