Modi calls Mahatma "Mohanlal" Gandhi

Jaipur, Nov 20 : Paving way for more criticisms, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has mispronounced the first name of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by calling him "Mohanlal Karamchand Gandhi" instead of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

"Towards the end of his life, Mahatma Gandhi had a wish which was not fulfilled. Would you fulfill Gandhi's wish? Mohanlal Karamchand Gandhi..." said Modi while addressing a rally in poll bound Rajasthan on Tuesday.

This comes in after Modi had confused leader Shyama Prasad Mookerjee with Shyamaji Krishna Verma in Kheda.

He has already garnered criticisms from the Congress leaders who alleged that Modi has no proper knowledge of the country's history.
