'Baga Beach - A season in Paradise' has been selected to be screened in Indian Panorama Section at the IFFI, Goa on Nov 26.

'Baga Beach' presents a gritty tale of life behind the fun, feni and freedom in Goa.

The beaches that represent the beauty of the exotic seashore also throw up the harsh truth and reality that affect the locals.

The film stars Paoli Dam, Akash Sinha, Jean Denis Romer, Cedric Cirotteau, Sadia Siddiqui, Sergei Klemov, Prashanti Talpankar, Pradeep Naik, Ivon De'Souza, Abhishek Vishwakarma and Rajesh Karekar.

It attempts to create awareness regarding issues related to tourism through six characters whose lives are inextricably and inexplicably intertwined.

The film follows four different stories - A Goan family who have a German as a paying guest, A South Indian Boy who wants to be a lifeguard on the beach - his triumphs of acceptance. A young bead seller girl who falls in love with French tourist. A ten-year-old beach masseur and his tryst with tourists.

On casting Paoli Dam, producer Parmod Salgaocar said, "The role of a bead seller is of an simple innocent girl from a rural background,who mingles with the tourists and is exposed to the western cultures.

"Paoli was a perfect combination of innocence and vulnerability while also displaying a certain sensuousness that captivated the young tourist who had a spiritual bent of mind."

The films is slated to release soon in India and globally and also been called for overseas festivals as well.
