The Jodhpur sessions court on Tuesday rejected jailed self-styled godman Asaram Bapu's bail plea in sexual assault case once again.

The Jodhpur Police on Nov 6 filed chargesheet against Asaram and four others in connection with the sexual assault case of a teenaged minor in a hostel run by the godman.

Asaram had earlier lost his second petition which sought to restrain the media from covering the proceedings on the sexual assault allegations against him.

He had moved the court to restrain two TV channels from airing allegedly slanderous reports about him.

According to Asaram, he was being projected as a 'dracula'.

The court headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam said it cannot stop the media from reporting on information they get from police or other sources.

A Jodhpur court on Oct 26 extended the judicial custody of Asaram and four others till Nov 6 in connection with the case.

Asaram was sent to the Jodhpur Central Jail on Sept 2 after the court remanded him to a 14-day judicial custody first for allegedly assaulting the minor.

Earlier, Asaram passed potency test, which established that he is medically fit and sexually potent.

The 15-year-old girl, who was staying at Asaram's hostel in Rajasthan's Jodhpur, had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Kamla market police station in Delhi alleging she was sexually assaulted by the godman.
