Cameron meets Mamata for 30 mins

Kolkata, Nov 14 : British Prime Minister David Cameron on Thursday met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for 30 minutes at the British Deputy High Commission here and the two leaders discussed business and investment, said sources.

On a whirlwind tour of India, which included Kolkata after his meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi, Cameron interacted with the students of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta at Joka and then met Banerjee in the evening.

Mamata Banerjee, who had wanted to make Kolkata like London, also gifted the British PM with clothes, handicraft and sweets, said reports.

According to reports, Cameron also invited Mamata Banerjee to visit London.

The Bengal CM was accompanied with her finance minister Amit Mitra.

Cameron is flying to Colombo from Kolkata to attend the Commonwealth meeting.
