Pune girl's Google Doodle on India homepage commemorates Children's Day

Mumbai, Nov. 14 : On the occasion of Children's Day, a Google Doodle designed by a class 10 student from Pune, Maharashtra is reportedly adorning the search giant's India homepage.

The doodle has been designed by Gayatri Ketharaman for the fifth edition of the Doodle 4 Google competition with the theme celebrating Indian women and is titled 'Sky's the limit for Indian women'.

The child designer said that each letter of the doodle depicts the trait of Indian women, graceful and elegant, and adept at balancing work and home adding that she is a go-getter and also personifies motherhood.

Ketharaman is a student of Bishop's co-education school in Pune and was chosen as the national winner out of 12 finalists from different parts of the country.

According to reports, the competition received 1.5 lakh entries in the contest held across 100 cities and 1,500 schools.
