City joins 'Walkathon' on World Diabetes Day

Kolkata, Nov 14 : The Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) along with the Diabetic Association of India hosted the 'Walkathon' to mark the World Diabetes Day on Thursday here.


The 'Walkathon' which was held from Victoria Memorial Hall till the Netaji Indoor Stadium was flagged off by Shaukat M. Sadikot , first Indian member of the International Diabetes Federation, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The 'Walkathon' like every year had an active participation of diabetic patients both young and aged ones, professionals, doctors and others from different walks of life.

Students from B.D.M. International School also joined the march to the target destination spreading awareness about diabetes.
