Campa Cola: Bulldozers called to demolish flats

Mumbai, Nov 12 : The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday called in bulldozers to demolish unauthorised flats at the compound of the Campa Cola housing society here.

However, over 100 families of the society locked the main gate and refused to let in BMC officials, said reports.

"After much persuasion a meeting is now taking place inside the compound between the residents, BMC officials and the police," reported CNN-IBN on Tuesday afternoon.

On Oct 1, the Supreme Court had ordered Campa Cola society residents to vacate their 96 illegal flats by Nov 11. Only 10 out of them have been vacated till now.
