Kolkata's Mirage Art Gallery recently held an exhibition named 'Art Utsav' which was inaugurated by Tollywood actress Zinnia Mukherjee.


The exhibition will be held in the city till Dec 15.

Unlike other exhibitions, this Art Utsav would showcase collages, sculptures, artefacts, handmade gift Items and paintings.

The Guest of Honour for the inauguration was Pranab Ranjan Ray, Art Critic and Historian and the event was also graced by the honorable presence painter Wasim Kapoor, Imran Zaki, President FACES, Raj Laxmi Ghosh, International Pianist and Fashion Designer, Saira Shah Halim, Social Worker among others.

The exhibition will be held daily from 12 noon to 7 pm (except Monday).

A varied display of artworks at the exhibition include more than 450 artwork showcasing different medium of arts in the form of paper quillin, paper collage, water colour, acrylic on canvas, mixed media on board, acrylic on wood, artefacts from paper messy work with natural colour, pastel colour on paper, pen and ink on paper, tempera on board, photo frames of paper and Madhubani arts among others.

All artworks in this exhibition are priced under Rs. 20,000.

The exhibition would feature paintings artists like Aditya Basak, Gopinath Roy, Jogen Choudhury, Manoj Dutta, Prakash Karmakar, Partha Bhattcharjee, Partha Pratim Deb, Mrs. Rabin Mondal, Samir Aich, Subrata Choudhury, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Wasim Kapoor and more than 70 other eminent artists.

Virendra Daga, one of the two founders of Mirage Art Gallery, said, "Aware of the basic principle that art can be neither confined nor defined, we recognize the validity of different means and ways of creative expressiveness. We at Mirage, aspire and commit to elucidate art lovers with the spectrum of styles and expressions of the masters, as well as to provide a platform for avant-garde artists to bring forth their innovative and contemporary style."
