MiG 29 aircraft crashes in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Nov 8 : A MiG 29 aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near Jamnagar airbase in Gujarat on Friday, said officials. The pilot is safe.

"One MiG 29 aircraft of the IAF crashed near Jamnagar airbase on 08 Nov 2013 at about 1129 hrs. The pilot, who was airborne on a routine flying training sortie, ejected safely," said an IAF release.

"There is no reported damage on the ground to any civil life or property," it said.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate into the cause of the accident.
