The ashram of jailed self-styled godman Asaram Bapu's son Narayan Sai on the outskirts of Mumbai is being demolished, said reports on Thursday.

The Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVMC) has alleged that the ashram was built illegally on 10 acres of land.

On Oct 22, angry locals at Valsad city of Gujarat on Tuesday burnt down portions of Asaram's ashram.

"Two farmers had reportedly given their land to Asaram for making a Satsang centre. But in the light of all the recent cases registered against the self-styled godman, they demanded their land be handed back to them," reported CNN-IBN.

Adding more woes to Asaram, a new case of sexual assault was earlier registered against him and Narayan Sai.

The complaint was lodged by two sisters in Gujarat's Surat city.

While the elder sister had alleged that she was raped by Asaram, the younger one had accused his son of committing the same crime in Surat.

They said that they are Asaram's followers and the incidents reportedly took place between 2002 and 2004.

Asaram was sent to the Jodhpur Central Jail on Sept 2 after the court remanded him to a 14-day judicial custody first for assaulting a minor.

Earlier, Asaram passed potency test, which established that he is medically fit and sexually potent.

The 15-year-old girl, who was staying at Asaram's hostel in Rajasthan's Jodhpur, had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Kamla market police station in Delhi alleging she was sexually assaulted by the godman.
