Mumbai teen rape: Three arrested

Mumbai, Nov 5 : The Mumbai Police have arrested three people in connection with the gangrape of a 16-year-old girl in the city's Goregaon area last week.


The girl was allegedly gangraped by her six friends at Goregaon area in Mumbai on Friday night.

According to reports, the accused, all in their twenties, had invited the girl to join them in Diwali puja celebrations.

After the puja, in the name of dropping her home, the youths took her to a secluded place and raped her.

A case was registered at Dindoshi Police Station in Malad East, under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 376(G).

The police said they are trying to track the remaining accused who are on the run.
