Bette Midler slams Britney, Miley, Gaga for being 'overtly sexual'

London, November 2 : Bette Midler has taken a dig at Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga, criticizing them for their provocative ways.

The 67-year-old singer told Katie Couric that she believes there's a difference between pushing the envelope sexually and pushing the envelope creatively, the Mirror reported.

Midler said that one can be as creative and inventive as they want to be but there is a certain grossness in whipping women in a music video, which is not flattering at all.

She said that she is not saying it because some people are very sensitive about the way they use their bodies and the way they use their sexual power, but she thinks that when it is really gross and coarse, it is demeaning not just to them but to all women.
