Ford India sales up 36pc in Oct

New Delhi, Nov 1 : Automobile major Ford India sold 14,935 combined domestic wholesales and export vehicles in October, the best month in its history, an increase of 36 percent compared to the same month last year.


Despite persistent market challenges, Ford India's domestic sales were steady with 9,163 vehicles sold this October, compared to 7,577 units sold last year, an increase of 21 percent.

Ford India exported 5,772 vehicles in October this year, adding ten new export markets including Australia, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala. This is an increase of 71 percent compared to 3,371 units exported last October.

"Led by the Ford EcoSport, our product portfolio has helped our sales momentum continue to grow amidst a challenging economic environment," said Vinay Piparsania, executive director of Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India.
