Army to participate in inter services championship

Jodhpur, Oct 29 : The Indian Army on Tuesday said that its personnel will participate in the 44th Inter Services Cross Country Championship on Wednesday at Mount Abu in Rajasthan.

The championship is being conducted by Air Force Station Mount Abu under the aegis of South Western Air Command.

Four teams, two from Indian Army (Army Red and Army Blue) one each from Indian Navy and Indian Air Force will participate in the Championship 2013-14.

The championship will be held under the aegis of Service Sports Control Board.

The 24 participants comprising six from each team will cover a distance of 12 km and the purpose is to select the athletes for the services cross country team to participate in senior national championship 2013-14.

Last year Indian Army (Red) team won the championship conducted by Indian Navy at Lonavala.
