Andhra Pradesh rains: CM to survey affected parts

Hyderabad, Oct 28 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday is scheduled to take an aerial survey of rain-ravaged Prakasam and Guntur districts.

Meanwhile, incessant rains have claimed at least 46 lives in the state in the last six days.

"About eight lakh hectares of crops have been left inundated and nearly 85,000 people have been evacuated to safer places and 225 relief camps have been set up," reported CNN-IBN.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the rains will continue for another 24-48 hours.
