Odisha: Flash floods kills 10

Bhubaneswar, Oct 25 : Flash floods have left at least 10 people dead and inundated 129 villages in Ganjam district of Odisha, reports said on Friday.

According to reports, water levels of rivers in south Odisha have crossed the danger mark.

The state government has directed to close down school and colleges in flood affected areas.

Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, at least 11 rain-related deaths have been reported.

Incessant showers have been reported from several parts of the state.

"Low pressure over the Bay of Bengal has resulted in incessant showers in several areas of Andhra Pradesh, with at least 11 rain-related deaths reported so far," NDTV reported.

"Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea by the weather officials. Over 6000 people have been moved from low-lying areas to higher grounds for safety," said the news channel.
