Cyclone of change defeated Phailin: Modi

Chennai, Oct 18 : Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the 'cyclone of change' in the country defeated Cyclone Phailin that hit India last week.

"A cyclone passed away without causing much damage last week. It happened because the cyclone of change in India defeated Cyclone Phailin," Modi said in Chennai on Friday.

He said the people in Tamil Nadu have decided to change the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.

"I can see that the people in Tamil Nadu are ready to change the government in Delhi," Modi said.

"Trichy rally was a great success. It happened because of the people of Tamil Nadu and party workers here," he said.
