The 41-year-old American rapper, who initially chose the stage name Snoop Doggy Dogg, had changed it to Snoop Dogg, and more recently Snoop Lion, has changed his name again to Snoopzilla, News.com.au.
The 'Gin and Juice' singer has revealed that he was sick of his previous name, which was an ode to his Rastafarian roots, and announced his new name yesterday, which coincided with the release of his new album '7 Days of Funk' which he has recorded with groove singer Dam-Funk.
The singer-songwriter said that Snoopzilla reflects the funk influence in his music.
It's believed his new name is a tribute to legendary funk bassist Bootsy Collins, who was nicknamed Bootzilla.
