"The 5 millionth car roll-out is an important milestone and a symbol of Hyundai's long-term commitment to the Indian market.

"We will continue to focus our efforts in the Indian automobile industry through investments and world-class products," he added.
Over the past 15 years since HMIL started production in India in 1998, a sum of USD 2.7 billion has been invested in its operations.
According to HMIL, 62 percent of its total production for the past 15 years were for the domestic market and the balance for exports.
The company also said its association with actor Shahrukh Khan is one of the longest brand ambassador associations in India.
