Hyderabad, Oct 9 : YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy continued his fast on Wednesday despite his deteriorating health condition. With his fast entering the fifth day, Jagan may be hospitalised or force-fed on Wednesday night since he is severely dehydrated, reports said. Jagan began his indefinite fast on Saturday outside his Lotus Pond office in Hyderabad to protest against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and creation of the Telangana state. He has refused to call it off even after severe health condition. Meanwhile in Delhi, his mother, Vijayamma, met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh, triggering speculation that an alliance between the two parties is a work-in-progress, NDTV channel reported. While, Jagan is fasting against the creation of the 29th state of India, Congress general secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh, Digvijaya Singh on Monday said TDP president Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had earlier supported creation of Telangana by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh. Singh on Tuesday released letters by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSR Congress supporting Telangana state. In a statement, Singh said: "The Group of Ministers will hold detailed consultations with all stakeholders on these and other sensitive issues." "We have letters of support from Jaganmohan Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu which clearly say that they supported the idea of Telangana," said Singh. "Hence, their fast will not serve any purpose," he said. He also took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express his anguish. "Surprised with the turn around of Chandra Babu and Jagan. Both had given support to Telengana in writing. Amazing Political Opportunism!" Singh tweeted. "Appeal to AP Govt employees to suspend their strike and resume their duties. They are losing their salaries and causing hardship to people," he said. "Assure all Seemandhra people of their genuine concern of Security in H'bad Education , Health Employment and package for Development," Singh posted on Twitter.
