The former attendant at Asaram's ashram in Ahmedabad worked for him for 10 years from 1991.
His statement will be recorded on Wednesday, said Jodhpur Deputy Commissioner of Police Ajay Pal Lamba.
Asaram on Tuesday moved Supreme Court to restrain the media from carrying out his own trials.
The matter was mentioned before a bench headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam, who asked him to file a proper petition.
The hearing for the case is on Oct 21.
According to his counsel, there were 10,000 boys and girls studying in the ashrams, and the media speculations were adversely affecting them.
Earlier, adding more woos to Asaram, a fresh case of sexual assault had been registered against him and his son Narayan Sai.
The complaint was lodged by two sisters in Surat.
While the elder sister had alleged that she was raped by Asaram, the younger one had accused his son of committing the same crime in Surat.
They said that they are Asaram's followers and the incidents reportedly took place between 2002 and 2004.
Asaram was sent to jail on Sept 2 after the court remanded him to a 14-day judicial custody first for assualting a minor.
Earlier, Asaram passed potency test, which established that he is medically fit and sexually potent.
The 15-year-old girl, who was staying at Asaram's hostel in Rajasthan's Jodhpur, had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Kamla market police station in Delhi alleging she was sexually assaulted by the godman.
