Hollywood celebs cough up millions for security

Washington, Oct. 4 : Hollywood's A-Listers spend six to seven figures on security services to keep paparazzi, overexcited fans and stalkers away, it has been revealed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Summit Business Management's Scott Feinstein said that he has had clients who spend a hundred grand to secure a house.

Security services can involve anything from installing elaborate home-security systems to 24-hour security details to bulletproof luxury cars.

Meanwhile, David Letterman's business manager, Fred Nigro, revealed that the TV host has full-time security, as he has dealt with a stalker, had a kidnapping attempt and then extortion.

The founder of AD Entertainment Services, which has provided security for the Osbournes, Barbra Streisand, Stevie Wonder and Steven Tyler, said that the cost of hiring an officer a day for a coordinated team of bodyguards is between 500 dollars and 1,000 dollars to steer a star from house to set to dinner.

The site also noted that the annual cost to protect a celebrity family like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's could approach 2 million dollars.
