Rahul Gandhi visits Modi's Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Oct 3 : Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday visited Gujarat, the first time after state Chief Minister Narendra Modi was announced as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate.

Gandhi is in Gujarat to meet the party's office bearers and workers at the Gandhi Bhawan, the state Congress headquarters.

He is also scheduled to meet the national executive of the National Students Union of India, the Congress's student's wing.

He will address the press on Thursday evening.

On Friday, Gandhi will visit Rajkot, the former assembly constituency of Modi.
