CL: CSK beat Brisbane

Ranchi, Sept 28 : Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Brisbane Heat by eight wickets to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League Twenty20 at JSCA International Stadium Complex here on Saturday.


Chasing 138 for victory, CSK reached 140 runs by losing only two wickets in 15.5 overs.

Michael Hussey (57*) and Murali Vijay (42) gave CSK a solid start as they contributed 75 runs in the first wicket partnership.

Surensh Raina contributed 23 with his bat before getting out to Daniel Christian.

Hammering one six and a boundary, MS Dhoni ( 13) remained not out with Hussey till the end.

Cutting and Christian picked up one wicket for Brisbane.

Earlier, Brisbane Heat scored 137 for seven in 20 overs.

Ben Cutting top scored for Brisbane with his unbeaten 42.

Mohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each for CSK.
