I am on Maoist hit list: Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata, Sept 26 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said her name is on the top of Maoist hit list but she is not afraid.

"I have heard that my name is on the top of the hit list of the Maoists. I am not afraid of them. Let them come and kill me if they have the courage," Banerjee said while addressing a public rally at Silda in West Bengal's West Midnapore district on Wednesday.

"Maoists are cowards. They attack behind your back," said the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo.

"No one can stop me from visiting Junglemahal. I will visit Junglemahal a thousand times for development purpose," she said.

Junglemahal comprises three Naxal-affected districts of West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia.
