Vodafone launches campus recruitment drive

Mumbai, Sept 23 : Cellphone carrier Vodafone on Monday announced the launch of "Discover Campus Programme" - a training and development programme that aims to identify, retain and develop high-quality talent from leading Indian educational institutes, in order to groom them for leadership roles across the company.

Adopting a glocal approach in talent and leadership development, the programme aims to enabletrainees to work across functions, undergo customised training modules and provides an exposure to Vodafone's growth and career opportunities.

With this programme, Vodafone enables its new inductees to make educated career choices by offering them job rotation across functions/states/countries, career paths insight, tailor-made development plan that suits each individual, coaching and mentoring projects, amongst others.

Prospective leaders will undergo 12-18 months development journey based on 70:20:10 principle of development. The company said that 70 percent of the development takes place through on the job learning, 20 percent through coaching and mentoring, and 10 percent through classroom training

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Ramchandran, Director - Human Resources, Vodafone India says, "Our aim is to be a leading customer and talent-centric organisation that energises and engages our people. We have always focused on creating career growth opportunities for our employees."
