Crude oil price of Indian Basket declines

New Delhi, Sept 23 : The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published Monday by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to USUSD 108.30/per barrel (bbl) on Sept 20.

This was lower than the price USUSD 109.47/bbl on the previous trading day of Sept 19.

In rupee terms though, the crude oil price declined only marginally to Rs 6740.59 per bbl on Sept 20 as compared to Rs 6759.77 /bbl on Sept 19.

This was due to fall in price in dollar terms as rupee depreciation wiped a major part of the gains with rupee dollar exchange rate on Sept 20 at Rs 62.24/USUSD against Rs 61.75/bbl on previous trading day of Sept 19.
