Mumbai gangrape: Chargesheet filed

Mumbai, Sept 19 : The Mumbai Police on Thursday said they have filed a chargesheet against five accused in the photojournalist gangrape case.

The Mumbai Police submitted their 600-page chargesheet before a magistrate's court.

They filed a separate chargesheet in a juvenile court as one of the accused is a minor.

On Sept 5, four accused in the Mumbai gangrape case were remanded to judicial custody till Sept 19.

The court sent the four accused - Shiraz Rehman Khan, Vijay Jadhav, Kasim Bengali and Salim Ansar - to a 14-day judicial custody.

The fifth accused, who claims to be a minor, was sent to juvenile remand home in Dongri on Aug 30.

A photojournalist was gangraped when she entered Shakti Mill on Aug 22 as the assailants held back her colleague by tying him up.
